A little about my business…
Hi I’m Zara Basford and I set up A Clean Break cleaning services in the Forest of Dean to offer a friendly, professional and reliable cleaning service for domestic and business customers.
Why? Well unlike most people I’m passionate about cleaning – I love doing it. It is so satisfying to watch a worktop, room or complete house transformed from dirty to clean, and it’s amazing to see the impact it can have on people’s lives. For most of us cleaning isn’t something we look forward to doing but when we don’t do it, it soon mounts up and can make us feel anxious and unhappy where we live. And we’ve all been spending a lot more time confined to our homes recently so you may have noticed it more.
It’s probably safe to say I have a bit of OCD but hey that’s great for you, as me and my team will ensure your home is spotless, fresh and tidy for you to relax and enjoy!
How it all began…
I started cleaning for my Dad who is a property developer – I would clean the properties ready before they went on the market. It was vital they looked immaculate.
I used to do general domestic cleaning when I lived in the Midlands and was a cleaning supervisor, looking after three business parks – this included staffing, dealing with the customers, checking health and safety procedures were being followed, and inspecting the standard of the clean – this triggered the love for cleaning and a great eye for detail.
I personally clean so I’m not someone who sits at my desk. I know what it is like to do the job and muck in with my team. As my business grows, I’m hand-picking reliable and conscientious cleaners to join my team and work alongside me. If that sounds like you – do get in touch I’d love to hear from you.
When I’m not cleaning!
Community is really important to me and I love where I live. The Forest of Dean is such a beautiful place. I have joined a litter picking group on Facebook which I find really very therapeutic and enjoyable. It feels good to give something back.
When I’m not cleaning, I love to exercise and enjoy running in the forest near my home 2-3 times a week. For me, this is something that is very relaxing, amongst such stunning scenery and I often spot local wildlife as I run. Not boar very often thankfully!
